Madame Hellena was a quiet and short mysterious lady.
No one knew much of her personality nor her family nor her work.
She had beautiful hazel eyes and long, wavy, silky red hair that she kept
loose.
She dressed in long dark dresses tied on the waist, that showed her slim
figure and always caught the attention wherever she went.
Women in town were jealous of the attention she got from the local men.
They spoke of her having had many husbands but killed them all.
They spoke of her having had many children but ate them all.
They spoke of her being an evil witch.
They spoke of her flying on a broom at night.
They spoke of her having a black cat who was the demon itself.
Salem
Salem was indeed Madame Hellena's cat.
They spoke that whoever walked in front of her house, would see a pair of
yellow eyes observing them.
They spoke that Salem could morph into human and/or a devil. Nobody
knew if this was true.
The jealous ladies would insult Madame Hellena or throw garbage on her
door, she never responded.
However and mysteriously, they would suffer some unfortunate accident
afterwards.
She was loaded with letters and the mailman; who was an admirer of her
exotic beauty; was more than happy to deliver them.
They spoke that he left his wife and kids and became her lover. Nobody knew
if this was true.
The letters usually came along with money, pictures, hair and/or pieces of
fabric.
They spoke that she was killing the cats, dogs and birds of the
neighborhood. Salem observed quietly. Missy; a beautiful female cat whom
he liked a lot; had also disappeared.
" Your birthday is coming my dear Salem...tell me what can i gift you?"
" I want a spell to make all my dreams come true"
On the day of Salem's birthday, Madame Hellena gave him a box. When she
slowly opened it, she started reciting some words. Salem saw that the box
was completely empty ...

everything that his heart desires
all his wishes will sure come true
by spoken words on a full moon "
" Now you can whisper your wishes into the box" - Madame Hellena
instructed with a smile.
Salem stared at the box for a while and waited till she went to the patio
where she kept a cauldron that was on.
They speak of Salem having wished that Hellena lose her balance and falls
into the cauldron.
They speak of Salem becoming the sole owner of the house.
They speak of an exchange made, that of Hellena's soul to get Missy back.
